The city watchdog agency charged with rooting out City Hall corruption
today sued Mayor Richard Daley’s administration for allegedly thwarting
an investigation into possible wrongdoing by current and former
employees.
The Inspector General’s office wants Daley’s top lawyer, Mara Georges, to hand over certain documents kept by her office relating to a no-bid contract that was awarded in 2006 to a former city worker.
